Production efficiency
The use of automatisms, through modern systems, is extensive, however, the wise human dexterity that determines the difference in qualitative terms is essential.
The selection of logs and timber, the search for the most suitable characteristics, has remained unchanged over time. This is the basis of the production cycle of GRUPPOLEGNO.
The entire production is carried out following the strict certification protocols CATAS QUALITY AWARDS.
The process takes place in environments with controlled humidity and temperature 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The timber, dried in cells equipped with inverters, is multi-bladed and inserted into computerized optimization lines, planed with hydro-tool moulders and then glued with the high-frequency technique.
At the end of this phase, the products are checked, selected and registered with the affixing of the unique barcode which certifies the quality, reports the production data and total traceability.

Our products are CQA certified. The FSC & PEFC certifications guarantee the origin of our wood from forests managed correctly and responsibly according to rigorous environmental, social and economic standards.
Our certifications provide added value to the products and ensure compliance over time with the requirements defined by the official standards.
FSC® Certification identifies wood products that have been taken from forests that are managed correctly and responsibly according to strict standards set up and approved by the Forest Stewardhip Council®
The PEFC, Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes, is an independent organisation which evaluates the environmental activity and sustainability of forest management systems.
Since 1993 Catas has worked as an independent third party in certifying products with the CATAS QUALITY AWARD (CQA), verifying and checking the conformity of a product to the required standards and technical specifications.
